- Wash and soak tuvar dal in water for 20-30 minutes. Then boil in pressure cooker with peanuts and enough water.
- In a kadai heat oil. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. When crackles add asafoetida. Add chopped onion, garlic paste and ginger paste. Saute for sometimes. Add chopped tomato and fenugreek leaves. Saute till tomato softens.
- Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and garam masala powder. Mix well. Add boiled tuvar dal. Add required amount of water. Add salt and mix well. Simmer for 4-5 minutes or till get desired consistency. Methichi patal bhaji is ready to serve. Enjoy hot with rice or bhakhri.
