The ingredients needed to make Veggie Crossants:
  1. Take 2 rolls of Puff Pastry
  2. Make ready 4 mashed potatoes
  3. Take 1 cup semi boiled mixed vegetable
  4. Prepare 2 cups grated cheese (of your choice)
  5. Prepare Milk or butter
  6. Get Half a cup cake flour
  7. Get Rolling pin
  8. Take Preheat oven to 110-150 Degrees
  9. Make ready Greese baking tray using cake flour
Instructions to make Veggie Crossants:
  1. Sprinkle cake flour on a clean and flat work surface. Make sure your puff pastry is defrosted. Roll out the puff pastry using a rolling pin. Roll according to your thickness of choice.
  2. Cut the rolled out pastry into half. Trim edges to neaten the pastry and to get the square/rectangle shape.
  3. Cut 3-4 diagonal lines on both sides of each square/rectangle but make sure the lines are not to long and there is sufficient space in the middle
  4. Mix your semi-boiled veggies into your mash and layer it in the centre of each square/rectangle and then top it with some grated cheese
  5. Criss cross the diagonal lines on both sides of the pastry making sure the mash filling is well secured in the centre. The diagonal criss cross gives the pastry a plait look.
  6. Place it on your cake flour greesed tray. Brush the top of each with some with or butter. Egg is the best to use but since this is a all veggie croissant egg is not a good choice to use
  7. Pop it into your preheated oven and bake for +- 10 mins till golden brown…Enjoy!
